Pretty bold statement: Jack the Ripper case closed, especially when you take into account that the author, Patricia Cornwell, admitted that she new very little about the Jack the Ripper case, and even claimed ignorance to the fact that the crimes were committed against prostitutes when she visited Scotland Yard in 2001, and yet after just a couple of years she had seemingly cracked the case – not to mention solved it – even though the infamous murders had gone unsolved for over one hundred and ten years. I don’t think the mystery could be solved that easily, and to be honest this seems like a case of literary shock-talk in an effort to sell books and rile up the mass of crime sleuths that religiously follow the case, but what the hell, I’ll read it, I love reading stuff on Jack the Ripper.
